It's pretty safe to say that no-one's ever hired Ahhnold Schwarzenegger to play a leading role in a high budget film for his acting abilities. Nope, the only thing you'll get from Arnie is terrible/awesome one-liners, garbled dialogue and general buffness, which Total Recall has in spades. However, what Total Recall does boast is an impressive story line which is both unique and somewhat complex - but the main issues are these; Arnie probably isn't that suited for the film, which contains a large amount a dialogue compared to his past roles, and the laughably outdated 'future' technology is ridiculous. However, with a re-boot apparently in works (starring Colin Farrell), a less gung-ho, more dark, updated version might give the story the film it finally deserves.
